That is an actual picture of all the supplements that my son takes daily and No its not cheap. We get pretty much everything from Developmental Spectrums in Pleasanton. They have an excellent knowledgeable staff and we are very happy with their service. Each supplement was prescribed by Developmental Spectrums after we did all the lab test to profile my son. Lab tests alone cost over $3000. Supplements run at about another $200 month. I’m just going to list what he takes with a short explanation of what each supplement is supposed to do. “Children with Starving Brains” has the detailed explanations and there are tons of resources on the internet to find info on all these supplements so here we go:
(I have attached links to each supplement for your convenience)

Ok now that we have WHAT he takes out of the way, I have to warn you....it is no cake walk to get an autistic child to take all these supplements. Luckily most of these things are flavorless so we are able to mix them into a smoothie he loves. The big questions:
1. Do we see a difference with all these supplements?
Its hard to say what is working or what is not working. I figure these are all non-harmful supplements so it doesn’t hurt him to take them. Combined with his school and therapies, all I know is I’m covering most of the theoretical basis supported in the most recent literature. He is talking more and can say “I want my cookie, please.” He’s more present and plays with his brothers. Its light years from where he was, so I’m not going to rock the boat.
2.I can’t afford all those supplements, which ones are the most important?
Now this is just me speaking from my own experience with MY child. If I had to choose the most important supplements, it would be the Multivitamin, Cod Liver Oil, DMG and maybe one of the Probiotics whichever one you can afford. To me these 4 cover most of the bases that the other supplements add to.
DMG testimonial:
DMG is super cheap, tastes great, and for my son is the one supplement that gave us that WOW result we were looking for. He talks and interacts more than ever, since we started it. Was it that missing link we needed, or does it work all by itself? Who knows? I initially thought I would replace his B12 shots with this, but since its working so well...I’ve decided to use both for now. (update- we have stopped the B12 shots, so see my blog for the reason)
